The French Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-FR), hosting providers, and Bleeping Computer alerted that VMWare servers are being attacked worldwide and being used to deploy ransomware. On February 3, 2023, it was determined threat actors are using CVE-2021-21974 for their attacks. This CVE was added to CEWL on May 26, 2021 - almost 2 years earlier.
